FAQs – Answers to the Most Important Questions About the Studio

  1. Why “BalanSense”?

BalanSense consists of two simple yet deeply meaningful words for me – Balance and Sense, or Sense of Balance.

At one point in my life, I realized that in my effort to juggle all responsibilities – building a career or spending as much time as possible with my kids – I lost my sense of balance in life. Have you ever felt that? I mean, the balance between work and personal life, between what I must do and what I want to do, between exertion and relaxation, between eating and dieting, and so much more…

BalanSense is a very special and long-dreamed-of place for me, where I believe one can find harmony, a sense of calmness and ease, and leave with a smile, a relaxed body, and balance in their soul.

With us, you’ll find a balance between strength and stretching exercises. We’ll activate all parts of your body and engage muscles you didn’t even know existed.

  1. Where is the studio located?

The studio found its home in the newly built luxury residential building “Secret Gardens” in the Lozenets district. Just like its exotic name, it’s an oasis for those who value quality and meaningful workouts in the heart of Sofia.

Our address is: Galichitsa 33, but like any treasure, you need to seek us out to find us.

  1. What types of yoga and Pilates classes do we offer, and what are the levels of difficulty?

We offer Hatha Yoga, stretching, PortDeBras, body ballet, and Pilates classes for complete beginners, as well as more intensive workouts like Body Tone and Dance classes for those seeking greater challenges.

  1. What is the maximum number of participants in a class, and is pre-registration required?

Our mission is to offer quality services, as we believe the key lies in quality, not quantity. This allows us to tailor classes to the specific needs and abilities of our clients, with class sizes not exceeding 10–15 participants. We believe that fewer clients in a session mean more individual attention from the instructor, resulting in a more personalized workout.

We respect your time and that of our instructors, so pre-registration (at least 2 hours in advance) for a class is mandatory. This way, we know when to expect you and can prepare accordingly.

  1. What are the requirements for new members – do they need experience, or do we offer beginner classes?

Our doors are open to everyone! Anyone who has realized the importance of investing in health, taking care of their body, and maintaining proper posture is welcome at our studio. We welcome women and men of all ages – our youngest clients are 3 years old, and the oldest are as young as they feel!

For our reformer workouts, it’s mandatory to meet with us individually the first time. This allows us to discuss your goals, any injuries or concerns, explain how the machines work, and create a training plan. For group classes, we recommend contacting our friendly receptionists to discuss which class would best suit your needs and goals.

  1. What are our recommendations regarding appropriate attire and equipment for classes?

We recommend wearing comfortable, lightweight clothing – t-shirts, leggings, or tracksuits that allow you to move freely. We provide all necessary equipment, but you’re welcome to bring a water bottle, non-slip socks, or a personal towel if you prefer. Leave the rest to us!
