- What is your experience and how have you trained in Hatha Yoga?
I have been practicing yoga since 2000 – first with Ani Pavlova, then with Juliana Vasileva, and with Kundalini Yoga with Bistra Stoyanova.
- What are the main principles and philosophy of Hatha Yoga that you follow?
The principles I follow are caring for both the body and the mind, and yoga is a subtle energy practice that supports our physical and emotional well-being, bringing balance and harmony back to us.
- What are the benefits of practicing Hatha Yoga compared to other styles of yoga?
Maintaining balance and harmony within ourselves.
- What basic asanas and breathing techniques do you use in your classes?
There are basic asanas, and then we build upon them depending on the client’s physical state. Breathing practices include alternate nostril breathing, square breathing, 4-7-8 breathing, and Qi Gong breathing practice.
- How do you adapt the yoga practice for beginners and people with different physical abilities?
I always show an adapted version of more advanced asanas.
- How do you deal with students who experience difficulty or pain when performing certain asanas?
I use practices that are appropriate for the needs of each individual.
- What is your philosophy regarding meditation and relaxation in the context of Hatha Yoga?
I synchronize with the energetic atmosphere of the moment because we are all different and are subject to different energetic influences.
- What is the structure of a typical Hatha Yoga class?
We begin with warm-up exercises for all joints and muscle groups, then yoga asanas, breathing practice, and relaxation.
- What are your tips for self-practice and how can students continue to develop outside of classes?
I refrain from giving advice unless asked. Everyone makes their own choices.
