- What inspired you to specialize in yoga for hormonal balance, and how does it differ from traditional yoga practices?
I attended such a class and really liked the holistic approach to women’s health. The work is done on an energetic level, unlocking energy keys that direct light and energy to the body.
- Can you explain the specific benefits of yoga for people experiencing hormonal imbalances?
Yoga helps balance the primary female hormones estrogen and progesterone and regulates the function of the pituitary gland, which is directly linked to the thyroid hormones, and in turn, to the health of the reproductive system.
- Which beginner yoga poses would you recommend for those new to this practice?
I would recommend poses that activate the water element (sacral chakra), specifically in the lower abdominal area (e.g., Butterfly pose), which works on the reproductive system and also targets the adrenal glands, whose function is essential for overall health.
- How do you adapt your classes to cater to different experience levels, especially for beginners?
We follow a step-by-step process, gently warming up the body, activating energy, and performing movements with purpose. Each person works according to their body’s needs and follows their own rhythm. Once I’m sure that everyone feels how to engage properly, we move on to the main part of the class.
- What role does breathing play in yoga for hormonal balance, and how can beginners effectively incorporate it?
One specific breathing technique plays a key role in performing movements. It has a massaging effect, enriching the organs in the abdominal cavity and pelvic area with fresh blood and nutrients.
- Are there common misunderstandings about yoga, particularly regarding its impact on hormonal health?
So far, I haven’t encountered any misunderstandings. When I explain the concept of this practice, every woman realizes the benefits and how it can support her health.
- What advice do you have for students who want to maintain a consistent practice at home to support their hormonal balance and overall well-being?
They should set aside time for self-care and practice at least some of the movements, or whatever they need at the moment. They can raise their energy levels, perform relieving asanas if they have painful periods, or calm their mind and thoughts.
- What would you advise students who may feel scared or overwhelmed when starting yoga for the first time?
They shouldn’t worry, as I adjust the class according to their preparation level and current state. We always end with relaxation and meditation, and the fatigue will certainly subside.
- Can you share any success stories or feedback from students who have experienced positive changes through your classes?
Some have stopped having headaches before their period, experienced relief from lower back pain after practice, and felt relaxation in both body and mind.
- Why did you choose Balansense Studio as the place for your practice?
When I found out that Asya was opening a studio, I called immediately because I knew it would be top quality. It is an honor for me to teach my knowledge at the boutique studio “Balansense,” as it is a wonderful place for balance, relaxation, and care for the body and mind. The name perfectly describes what every client will get – balance for the body, pleasure for the soul, and relaxation for the mind.
